Come and spend a long dog-filled weekend with us in Autumn or Spring when the pressure is off and it is time to simply train and play.
Your motivation might be to simply work in a more hands-on way with the dogs than is possible during the multiday tours. Alternatively, your motivation could be personal skill acquisition and the chance to gain knowlegde and insight into the 'behind the scenes' aspect of life with sled-dogs.
We can tailor-make these weekends to whatever suits you best and will send you the modular-based syllabi from our guide-training course ahead of time so that you can tell us what you are most interested in.

During the long weekend you will be assigned a personal mentor to guide you, step-by-step, but you will also have access to a range of guides who will share their particular skills and areas of interest with you. Most clients choose to help with the daily seasonal chores around the dog-yard but this is totally up to you. For most of our 3-day clients, the majority of the day is spent quad training, sleigh training or working one-on-one with favourite dogs although Fell Lapland's 'Saami culture and Nature Centre' is well worth a visit.
One evening we will offer a seasonally-appropriate 'after work' activity - either hiking or canoeing or northern-lights-watching. There are a number of 'hidden trails' around Hetta which are fun to explore and a favourite option with the guides is a BBQ at the top of the Jyppärävärä hill.
Available: Autumn and Spring.
Duration: 3 days
Price: €625 including 2 nights accommodation in our farm kota (a traditional building in which beds are laid out around a central fireplace, with electricity but no running water).
By the end of three days, you will have learned how to feed every area of our farm and will have a level of self-confidence completing the basic tasks. You will have learned how we apply lean pathways and other standard business tools to all of our daily tasks and you will definitely have developed some favourites amongst the dogs.
