Litter Of The Gods

For the winter of 2013-14, we had again not planned any pups on either our farm or at Valimaa since we had enough of our own dogs for our own planned programmes and Santa Safaris / Transun had still failed to supply sufficient materials to make more facilities on their farm.

However, since the clients always like to see and play with pups, we asked around to see if any other farms were in Pasi Heinonen's situation from the previous year and might have some pups needing fostering. It turned out that our good friends, Aki and Malla, had a few new litters; one of them from a dog they had brought across from the famous Lance Mackey kennels in Fairbanks, Alaska. Lance Mackey is an American dog musher and dog sled racer, who is a four-time winner of the 1,000-mile Yukon Quest and four-time winner of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.
